So far, our class has been working on our shoe sculptures for about a week now, and I am not feeling very good about mine. For some reason, my other classmates have made much better progress than I have. I don't know if this is because I am trying to sculpt a soccer cleat, or because I am not staying totally focused during class...maybe a little of a both. The difficult things that have come up during the construction of my shoe and tasks such as cutting cardboard, a very difficult material, and curving so it fits just right on to my shoe. In addition, because my shoe is many different colors, I have to constantly cut our cardboard and then put the right color of construction paper on top of that, and then meld the entire thing to my shoe. Although there are many obstacles, my goal is still to finish my shoe by the middle of next week.
